In this episode I share the Web 2.0 resources that I'm using and my students are using on a consistent basis. I offer a brief explanation of why my students are using the Web 2.0 mentioned in the podcast.
I use most of the same tools as you! I also use Google Custom Search and del.icio.us for research projects, and Pageflakes for a class website with my students.
Recently started using Google Docs with my kids. I like it and my classes are warming up to it as they discover how easy it is to work on their assignments in different locations regardless of hardware or software. Only complaint is when the school network slows down, so does Google Docs.
I teach my students to use Photoshop which is loaded onto every machine in my lab. The vast majority of them do not have Photoshop at home and it isn’t readily available throughout our building. So, recently I introduced them to Picnik (www.picnik.com) an online photo editor. It isn’t as powerful as Photoshop but it will do the basics, it’s free and you don’t have to register.
Recently discovered your site and love it. Already pointed a few of my friends your way. Keep up the good work.
